1. Booking & Payments

 

Booking Fee & Contract

 

By paying a booking fee, you confirm your intent to hire a product and service from Le Carte, entering into a binding contract as outlined in your booking confirmation. It is the client’s responsibility to inform their venue and/or event planner of the booking. We are happy to liaise with them directly if needed.


Payment Terms

  • A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your event date.

  • The remaining balance must be paid at least six weeks before the event date.

  • We offer payment plans, but the balance must be paid in full no later than six weeks before the event.

  • Failure to pay the balance within this timeframe may result in cancellation without refund.

  • Alternative payment arrangements may be discussed at the time of booking.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer or cash.

 

Cancellations & Refunds
 

Cancellations by Le Carte

In the unlikely event that we must cancel your booking due to reasons beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather conditions), we will offer you the choice of a full refund or rescheduling.

Cancellations by Customer
 

  • Cancellations made more than 21 days before the event will result in a loss of the booking fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 21 days before the event will result in a loss of the full balance.

  • Rescheduling requests made less than 21 days before the event will be subject to availability and may incur additional charges.


2. Equipment & Venue Requirements

Venue Access & Setup Requirements
 

  • The client must ensure sufficient access for unloading and setting up equipment.

  • The designated area must be clean, clear, and safe for our team and guests.

  • If the venue is deemed unsafe or unsuitable, Le Carte reserves the right to cancel service without refund.

  • Certain equipment (e.g., carts) weigh over 100kg when fully loaded. If the venue has stairs or restricted access, the client must notify us upon booking.

  • A standard power supply (normal plug socket) must be available within reasonable proximity to our setup location.


Weather Conditions
 

  • If the event is outdoors, the client must ensure suitable shelter is available in case of adverse weather.

  • If no indoor alternative is provided, the full booking fee remains payable.


3. Food Safety & Hygiene
 

  • Le Carte staff hold Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificates, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

  • We follow strict guidelines on food handling, sanitation, temperature control, and allergen management.

  • All food is sourced from trusted suppliers and prepared under regulated conditions.

  • Any food not consumed during the event should be disposed of properly and not stored for later consumption.

  • Once the food is handed over, Le Carte is no longer responsible for food safety.


Allergen & Dietary Disclaimer

At Le Carte, we take dietary requirements seriously. Please review the following information:

Allergen Disclosure
 

  • The event organiser is responsible for informing us of any allergies or dietary restrictions at the time of booking.

  • Due to the nature of our kitchen, cross-contamination is a high risk, and we cannot guarantee allergen-free products.

  • Our products may contain or come into contact with celery, cereals containing gluten, nuts, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, or tree nuts.


No Disclosure Policy
 

  • If no allergies or dietary requirements are disclosed before the event, Le Carte is not responsible for any adverse effects.

  • The event organiser must communicate this policy to all attendees.


Important Notice
 

  • We take all precautions to label allergens, but all food is prepared in a shared environment.

  • Cross-contamination may occur, and we cannot guarantee our products are free of nuts, gluten, dairy, or other allergens.

  • By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept this policy.


4. Public Liability & Insurance
 

  • Le Carte carries Public Liability Insurance of £5 million, subject to these terms being met.

  • Le Carte is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses arising from improper handling of food once it has been served.


5. Client Responsibilities & Participant Behaviour

General Conduct

Le Carte reserves the right to cease service immediately without refund if:
 

  • Guests behave in an abusive or aggressive manner.

  • Participants are intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

  • Conditions become unsafe for staff to operate.


6. Returns & Product Policy
 

  • Due to the perishable nature of our products, food and personalised items cannot be returned.

  • If an item is damaged or incorrect upon arrival, contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue.


7. Website Terms & Use

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions and all relevant UK laws. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our website.

Usage Restrictions

You may not:

  • Modify, copy, or distribute our materials.

  • Use our website for commercial purposes.

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer any website components.

  • Remove copyright or proprietary notices.

  • Transfer materials to another server without permission.


Liability Limitations

Le Carte is not responsible for:

  • Errors or omissions in website content.

  • Third-party links or their content.

  • Damages resulting from the use of our website or services

Revisions & Governing Law

  • We may revise these Terms at any time without notice.

  • The laws of the United Kingdom govern these Terms.
